Welcome to Folio! These Terms of Service (“Terms”) are a legal agreement between you and Less Is Better LLC. By creating an account or using Folio, you agree to follow these Terms.

If you don’t agree, please don’t use the service.

1. Who Can Use Folio

To use Folio, you must:

  • Be at least 13 years old
  • Use the service for personal, non-commercial purposes
  • Be responsible for keeping your account login secure

2. Your Content and Rights

When you save a link in Folio, we create a personal copy of that page for you — including the title, text, images, and HTML. This is done under fair use for personal storage and reading.

You own your content. We don’t claim any ownership over the links or articles you save. Everything remains private unless you choose to share it.

3. Things You Can’t Do

To keep things safe and fair for everyone, you agree not to:

  • Break the law or violate someone’s rights
  • Try to hack, scrape, or overload our systems
  • Reverse engineer our app or browser extensions
  • Spam, abuse, or harass other users (if applicable)
  • Use automated bots to use or interact with Folio

We may suspend or delete your account if you misuse the service.

4. Deleting Your Account

You can delete your account at any time from within the app. This will immediately and permanently delete all your saved content from our servers.

5. Subscriptions and Payments

Folio offers paid subscriptions through:

  • Stripe (on the web)
  • Apple and Google app stores (on mobile)

Subscriptions auto-renew unless you cancel. You can manage your subscription from your account settings or through the app store.

Refunds are handled by the payment provider (e.g., Apple, Google, Stripe). We may offer refunds at our discretion, but can’t override store policies.

6. Changing or Ending the Service

We may make changes to Folio, add or remove features, or stop offering the service. If we plan to shut down the app, we’ll do our best to notify you ahead of time.

7. Liability and Disclaimers

Folio is provided “as is.” We don’t guarantee it will be perfect or always available. We’re not responsible for:

  • Lost or deleted data
  • Service interruptions
  • Damages that result from using (or not being able to use) the app

If there’s a legal issue, our total liability to you is limited to the amount you’ve paid us in the past 12 months.

8. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict of law principles.
